Question Box

Q. How do I request a book or an article from ILL (Interlibrary Loan)?

Answer Box

Purdue University Libraries Interlibrary Loan service supports the instructional, research, and scholarly activities of library patrons affiliated with Purdue by obtaining research materials not owned by the Purdue University Libraries. For more information about the ILL service and to submit requests visit < http://www.lib.purdue.edu/services/interlibrary-loan >. To request an article through ILL, start at the Interlibrary Loan webpage at: < http://www.lib.purdue.edu/services/interlibrary-loan > You will need to login using your PURDUE career account information. Then click on "Copy request" button. Here you will fill in as much information as you can about the article you wish to receive. After you have filled in the form, submit your request. It might take ILL 7-10 days to obtain your article depending on where they have to go to borrow it. You will receive an email when the article arrives and you will log back into the ILL page to retrieve your article electronically. If you request a book, you will need to pick it up at ILL, HSSE library room 246. You will receive an email with the necessary information. Any questions, please contact ILL directly at ill@purdue.edu or phone (765)494-2800.
