Q. Can I checkout print books and other materials such as videos on DVDs while the Libraries are closed due to COVID-19?

Yes, if you are faculty or graduate student. Starting July 2 and continuing through the end of the summer semester 2020, Purdue Libraries will allow faculty and graduate students to request Purdue-owned print materials* from the Libraries catalog using a new request option: Personal Delivery.  In order to see the personal delivery option, faculty and graduate students must be logged into their Career Account while conducting searches in Library Search, using the login links from the catalog or the “My Account” link from the homepage. You will be prompted to provide your current address (within the US and Canada), which may be your residence or your office (this includes offices on campus) so that we may send your books to wherever you are at the moment (and not to whatever address happens to be listed in university records). Once we receive a delivery request, Libraries staff will pull items within 24-48 hours (Monday through Friday). The Libraries will automatically send status update emails to your Purdue email addresses when the book(s) are ready for shipping. Print materials may be kept until the fall semester begins or returned to open locations on campus.
