Can I request or checkout print books and other library materials during Covid?

Yes, if you are a Purdue student, staff, or faculty member. Purdue Libraries allows you to request Purdue-owned print materials* from the Libraries catalog using Request Options. Search the catalog < lib.purdue.edu > using the Books & Media search option. When you find an item you are interested in, click on Check Request Options. This will open the item record, which will prompt you to sign in to “My Account” using your career account ID and password.  After logging in you will be able to Request Hold for pick-up at your choice of Libraries listed in a drop down menu; or, if you are faculty, staff, graduate student, or a student participating in the Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 Online Option Experience, you may request Personal Delivery. For Personal Delivery, you will be prompted to provide your current address (within the US and Canada), which may be your residence or your office (this includes offices on campus) so that we may send your books to wherever you are at the moment. Once we receive a request, Libraries staff will pull items within 24-48 hours (Monday through Friday). The Libraries will automatically send status update emails to your Purdue email address when the book(s) are ready for pick up or shipping. Materials may be mailed back to us at 504 W State St, West Lafayette IN, 47907. You are responsible for return postage.
