How do I set up EndNote to use OpenAthens for Full Text Access?

Answer

To set up EndNote to access Purdue West Lafayette library content from on or off campus, you need to enter our OpenAthens Redirector Stem for authentication and our Primo OpenURL resolver to check for our full text options.

In EndNote 20:

  1.  On the Edit menu (EndNote 20 on Mac), select Preferences.
  2. Select Find Full Text
  3. In the space for "OpenURL Path," enter: https://purdue.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/openurl?institution=01PURDUE_PUWL&vid=01PURDUE_PUWL:PURDUE&ctx_ver=Z39.88-2004&
  4. In the space for "Authenticate with:URL," enter: https://go.openathens.net/redirector/purdue.edu?url=https://my.openathens.net
  5. Select Apply and then OK.
