Why am I getting an "account suspended" message?

Account suspended message when attemping to login through OpenAthens

Answer

If you're seeing the message below, in most cases it means that you are not considered a Purdue University West Lafayette/Main Campus user (or Purdue in Indianapolis effective July 1, 2024) and need to visit your home library's website to access materials.

Are you enrolled or employed at Purdue Fort Wayne, Purdue Northwest, or Purdue Global? Please note that most electronic resources are not shared between Purdue campuses, so if you are a current employee or student at one of those, you will need to consult the library at your home campus:

If you believe this to be a mistake and you are currently an employee at the West Lafayette campus, you need to contact your department’s business office to get your Career Account information corrected. If you are a currently enrolled student at the West Lafayette campus, please contact the Registrar's Office at 765-494-8581 or registrar@purdue.edu.
